Planning Commission Hearing for the Manson Sub Area Plan Tonight

At 7:00 p.m. tonight there is a hearing with the Chelan County Planning Commission on the Manson Sub Area Plan. Public input is still welcome on the plan. The meeting will be held at the County Commissioner’s Chambers.

This plan is controversial. If you are a property owner in the Manson area, you should pay attention to this process. Many properties have proposed zoning that is not compatible with current uses and there are areas that have been down zoned in the process. There are also areas that have moved to higher densities than they are currently zoned.

Also, I expect there will be continued debate on the vacation rental issue with the proposed plan requiring a Conditional Use Permit for vacation rentals of less than 30 days.
