Manson Community Council Special Meeting and Elections

There will be a special meeting regarding Storm Water Mitigation within and around the Manson Community and Urban Growth Area on Tuesday, December 1st, 6:00pm at the Ray Bumgarner Building (312 Quetilquasoon Rd.).  This meeting will describe the the need for Storm Water Mitigation in the Manson area and the formation of a Storm Water Utility District.  It will also touch on the different projects identified as immediate need by the Storm Water Advisory Council and how they were prioritized.  It will also discuss the possible intereaction and collaberation between Chelan County and other public entities such as Lake Chelan Reclamation District and Manson School District to complete contructioin goals that are necessary for all involved.  Funding of these projects will be potentially the primary focus of the meeting, with three options for funding being presented, with the discussion regarding the formation of a taxing district. Public input is being asked for regarding the information presented at this meeting.  Anyone wanting more information regarding this meeting may contact the Manson Community Council by e-mail at mansoncouncil@gmail.com
 
Elections:
 
People interested in a position with the Manson Community Council should have there application post marked by November 28th.  The Manson Community Council is a seven(7) member advisory council representing the Manson community in all items that affect the Manson Community in the area of planning, government, resource management, conservation, community concerns, business, events, or any other items that have a direct affect on our community.  There are four(4) positions up for election, with three of the seats being vacated.  The open positions are for each district with one position from district 1,2 and 3 being a three year term, and one district 2 position being for 2 years, completing an appointment term currently held by Chris Willoughby.  Candidate packets are available at the Lake Chelan Reclamation Office, Manson Library, and Lake Chlean Building Supply.  The election will take place December 8th, from 1pm to 7pm at the Lake Chlean Reclamation District Board Room, 80 Wapato Way, Manson. For more information, please contact the Manson Community Council by e-mail at mansoncouncil@gmail.com
