Real Estate Investment, in this market? No, we’re not crazy. But we are experienced. We were telling our clients in 2006 that investment in residential development was risky as the market was likley to decline. Did we predict how severe the national decline would be, the extent of the financial meltdown, the sub-prime market impact and its impact on the entire economy. Not precisely. But we did advise and help our clients take steps that put them in a better position years ago.
So, here we are today. Real Estate overall has declined. But, relative to the stock market, it has declined less.
We have the government pumping large amounts of stimulus (cash) into the economy. At some point, inflation is the likely outcome of such a boost in the money supply.
As this is written, fixed loans can be had at rates that, in some cases, haven’t been seen since the 1940′s. The market is glutted with property being sold at liquidation prices into a very pessimistic market.
Are there some nuggets in particular markets in all of that, you betcha! To hear more, make an appointment today to discuss investing in real estate.
